00:51:41<LegitSi>Based on my memories (not actual facts), Roblox has a sequential numbering system but it's very strange.
00:52:00<LegitSi>It uses one system for users but an entirely different system for seemingly every other thing. (games included)
00:52:16<LegitSi>So for example, subtracting 1 or adding 1 from a UserID will work.
00:52:29<LegitSi>But if you add 1 or subtract 1, you might go from a game to, say, a catalog item.
00:52:46<LegitSi>And since you prefixed the number with /games/ or /catalog/, it returns 400.

01:07:20<LegitSi>Update: From basic testing, I'm pretty sure every unique category has a separate sequential numbering system, and the confusion comes from deleted items.

04:48:03<LegitSi>hey, if you were trying to figure out a system without any information, what are things to look out for in the Network tab?
04:51:28Oculin joins
04:53:35<@JAA>Depends a bit on the exact goal. For preservation of just the key data, figure out where that comes from and how the content can be enumerated (e.g. slugs in URLs → find a way to do it with only a numeric, sequential ID). For full archival of the website with the aim of playback in the Wayback Machine, figure out what each payload does via JS and how to emulate it all.
04:54:10<@JAA>There aren't really hard rules about this. A lot of it is about intuition and experience. Kind of an art rather than technology thing.

11:49:52<thuban>am i correct in assuming that (a) if a private youtube video isn't in the wbm it wasn't saved in the unlisted videos project, (b) there is no known way of downloading a private video, and (c) there is no known way of determining who uploaded a private video given only its id?
