07:33:31<gamer191>Whilst I love the idea of fighting URL rot, and I agree that URL shorteners suck, I'm concerned that this project could be doing more harm than good. When people make shortened URLs, they very often do so with the (completely false) idea that their URLs will remain private except with people who they've shared their URLs with. I'm concerned that,
07:33:31<gamer191>by exposing links that should be private (unlisted youtube videos, zoom meeting links etc) this project could be doing more harm than good
07:34:11<gamer191>(I've brought this up before, but no one responded while I was online)

13:22:41<gamer191>TheTechRobo I kinda agree, and putting private urls into a url shortener is obviously a security risk. I just find it concerning because I don't think the average user thinks like that
13:50:21<myself>we're not bypassing any security, plenty of people do what we do, they just don't share their scans. The average user is no less secure because of this. Maaaaybe they might become aware of it.
