00:00:30<aarchi>I'm emailing the multy.me operator to request dumps of the mappings. Since 301Works dumps aren't public, I'd rather that the dumps are uploaded to a different IA collection. What process should I recommend?
00:16:30<@hook54321>I would have them send it to you or someone else here
00:20:10<aarchi>Do we have an automated process?
00:38:32<@hook54321>nope

08:01:11<aarchi>Here's a project that I want to eventually take on: since we obviously can't query dead shorteners, we could grab all archived pages/redirects for a shortener from IA, then feed those through the terroroftinytown link-identification algorithm to reconstruct partial mappings. Plus, this will grab some vanity shortcodes that we couldn't scan for. This should catch all of the links found via the #// scanning, since those are uploaded to IA.
08:08:16<aarchi>The tracker could periodically fetch a list of all IA snapshots for each shortener, then send clients batches of snapshots that have not yet been checked. For purposes of IP throttling, this IA mirror mega shortener would count as a single shortener.

17:44:13<@hook54321>looks like they're using al.st now, and the a.ll.st shortcodes that i've checked on al.st just redirect to their homepage now.
17:45:10<@hook54321>err, all invalid shortcodes I guess.
18:01:24<aarchi>Well that's weird that only 3 were found for a-ll-st. There are definitely more shortcodes that I found by IA query that worked. Maybe they were transitioning to al-st as we started scanning.
