16:30:03<Grzesiek11>hi, why does my IA upload using the S3 backend of rclone apparently have to be completed "twice"? apparently there's an "archive" task running now that it's doing it the second time, which I assume might be relevant.
16:41:12redoste (redoste) joins
16:42:04<@JAA>Grzesiek11: Are you sure you didn't just upload it twice now, potentially the second one before the processing of the first one was completed?
16:42:47<@JAA>IA's processing, that is. S3 uploads are moved into the items asynchronously on their end.
16:42:58<Grzesiek11>JAA: nah, I ran a single command, but after uploading the entire 128 GiB, the total changed to 256 GiB
16:43:53<Grzesiek11>however, I noticed that the upload speed changed from avg ~1MiB/s to avg ~6MiB/s
16:44:01<@JAA>Hmm, odd
16:45:12<@JAA>rclone does also have a specific internetarchive backend. Maybe that exists for a reason. :-)
16:46:13<Grzesiek11>that is what I am using actually, but this is technically a "sub backend" of the S3 backend

18:05:08<nicolas17>maybe the upload got an error at the end and rclone automatically retried
18:05:43<nicolas17>which is bad, often I've gotten timeouts getting the final "OK" response even though the file did get uploaded successfully
18:53:52<Grzesiek11>nicolas17: huhh... so you're saying I should probably kill it
18:59:59<nicolas17>yeah, if there's an archive task running it's processing the first upload
19:00:03<nicolas17>so the second upload seems useless
19:15:13<Grzesiek11>the archive task is done, so I guess yeah
19:15:18<Grzesiek11>done now I mean
