09:41:56<@JAA>Oh, that NPM malware from the other day is interesting. So it's collecting credentials/tokens for GitHub, NPM, and cloud stuff via a preinstall script. It uses NPM tokens to spread itself by infecting further packages and GitHub tokens to exfiltrate the credentials by creating public repos. So far, so 'normal'. But there are two interesting parts: if it can't do that exfiltration due to a lack of
09:42:03<@JAA>permissions on the token, it retrieves previously leaked tokens from other GitHub repos by the malware and then uses those for the exfil. And after doing its thing, it stays active and monitors the GitHub and NPM tokens; if they both become invalid, it activates its self-destruction mode and shreds $HOME.

15:55:55<xkey>is there already a tool to check the coverage (and only that) of a domain in WBM?
15:56:10<xkey>thinking of hacking together a CLI or web UI otherwise :)
15:57:43<xkey>was just thinking if my local bookshop's website is wholly backuped in WBM https://web.archive.org/web/sitemap/https://www.buchladen-weltkugel.de/
15:58:06<xkey>I guess one could eyeball that by calculating a percentage
15:58:10<xkey>happy about any input :}
15:58:20<justauser|m>I'm not sure this is OT, but anyways.
15:58:34<xkey>uh wrong channel, you're right
15:58:41<justauser|m>CDX API can make a list of pages in WBM, but how do you know the total?
15:59:54<xkey>no idea, maybe it's best to guess by the age of the captures

16:00:26<justauser|m>https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://www.buchladen-weltkugel.de/* for a reasonable web UI.
16:00:56<justauser|m>Can be sorted by age as well.
16:01:29<xkey>jub, got to figure out how to guess/eyeball/"calculate" that now
16:01:31<justauser|m>For this specific site, UI doesn't work too well. Scripts on the wiki would give a better experience.
16:01:52<xkey>scripts on the wiki?
16:01:57<justauser|m>If the site fits in the results, number of pages archived is in the corner.

16:02:40<xkey>awoo
16:02:47<justauser|m>(the first query is kinda sufficient if you only want a size estimate)
16:03:20<xkey>it's less of a technical question than statistical I guess
16:04:11<justauser|m>Varies. You can probably make some estimates by studying the specific site
16:04:27<justauser|m>but there are also generic techniques.
16:05:38<justauser|m>Parsing the sitemap could be an option: https://www.buchladen-weltkugel.de/sitemap.xml
16:06:21<xkey>yep, thanks, gonna wait a bit if someone knows if that's already done, and hack it otherwise
16:07:34<justauser|m>250KURLs is them.
16:08:15<justauser|m>Looks almost like an artificial truncation.
16:13:15<justauser|m>And CDX API returns ~30KURLs.
