16:37:18<Doranwen>How would I tweak this if I want it to *also* find links with "download." before the archiveofourown bit? `find -name '*.html' | while IFS= read -r fn; do grep -Po -m 1 '<a href="\Khttp://archiveofourown\.org/works/\d+(?=")' "$fn"; done > ../output.txt` Only a few links might have that but this current command would miss them, I think, because it expects there to always be the "archiveofourown" bit right after the "http://".

19:56:16<nukke>glassy: I'll play the Devil's advocate. Server infrastructure is expensive, especially with newer games and with the expectations from modern playerbases
19:56:59<nukke>You can't do e.g. matchmaking with dedicated servers
19:57:31<nukke>You also can't deal with cheaters as effectively unless you have more centralized servers
19:57:59<nukke>ergo, battle passes and other MTX are the most sensible compromise

23:13:58<joepie91|m>nukke: there is no reason games couldn't support both dedicated servers *and* a matchmaking service (as eg. a paid add-on), and the fact that this is not what companies are doing shows that it's not really about the operational costs at all
