17:36:10<@rewby>My connection never went through almere
17:36:15<@JAA>So I guess the only ones who would've noticed anything would be people in/near Almere (where the power outage was anyway, so... yeah) or hosting something there.
17:36:30<@rewby>A contact of mine did notice the power outage

18:54:17<@JAA>Today in 'Mozilla's fuckups': a couple years ago, they disabled SSLKEYLOGFILE during dev work because it caused some sort of crash. They then forgot to reenable it, so that made it into the release. Not a big deal, shit happens. Bug was reported, and it was fixed swiftly in the next release a couple weeks later. Then the exact same thing happened *again* in the next version.

22:58:51<systwi_>Is there anything stopping the site administrators from simply dropping their Clownflare subscription?
22:59:18<systwi_>Except for the likelihood of some kind of (malicious) DoS/DDoS attacks.
22:59:50<Frogging101>no, but I bet they can't stay up without DoS protection
23:00:05<fishingforpie>https://www.reddit.com/r/Lostwave/comments/wj0jc9/a_lost_japanese_idol_song_power_age_my_dear_friend... I compiled all info of it into this Reddit post.
23:00:40<Frogging101>also if people find out who hosts them, the mob will probably go after the host to get them kicked off it

23:17:53<systwi_>CDX does stand for "content index," right? Or is it "compound index?"

23:50:44<systwi_>fishingforpie: Erm, well, it depends on your IRC client.
23:50:54<fishingforpie>I am on webirc.hackint.org
23:50:56<systwi_>(continuing from connecting to irc.efnet.net:9999)
23:51:05<systwi_>Ah, yeah, probably not supported on there.
23:51:16<fishingforpie>Fuddles
23:51:22<@JAA>Definitely not, and EFnet's web chat sucks.
23:51:26<systwi_>What's your OS? Can you download a dedicated IRC client and use that?
23:52:00<fishingforpie>Windows but I don't want to download that much, I am borrowing this PC
23:52:12<fishingforpie>Could someone else ask for me?
23:52:23<fishingforpie>About My Dear Friend, that is
23:53:09<systwi_>Oh, minor correction, it seems irc.efnet.net:9999 won't work. You'd have to use a mirror (e.g. irc.choopa.net:9999).
23:53:30<systwi_>irc.efnet.net is either down, doesn't support encryption, or both.
23:53:34<@JAA>9999 won't work on all servers either. EFnet is a mess. I'm so glad we're no longer there.
23:53:48<systwi_>I can confirm it works on irc.choopa.net. ^
23:53:57<systwi_>at least.
23:54:00<@JAA>6667 is probably supported by all servers, but their TLS certs are invalid etc.
23:54:06<systwi_>:-P
23:54:12<fishingforpie>I don't want to go through the hassle of joining or accidentally disconnecting. Could someone else ask about it?
23:54:50<systwi_>fishingforpie: You could try a portable client (https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/kvirc_portable) or, yeah, I could just ask.
23:57:02<fishingforpie>I will get a client when my PC is out of the repair shop
23:57:38<fishingforpie>3 days from now
