16:50:43<Wayward>> In the year 2035, all web pages will have adopted slideshow navigation, including Wikipedia.
16:53:56<Aoede>In the grim darkness of the far future, there are only dynamic websites
16:55:18<@JAA>We should rewrite our wiki in wasm.
16:57:05<Wayward>I wonder if the internet is sexist or evolving organically. half the recipe sites (easter commith) out there seem convinced that slideshow is the way to go.
16:58:08<Wayward>"women love recipies, and our research shows they love left/right navigation too!"

17:19:54<spirit>so, re:bitrot and file systems. looking for a suitable fs for an external drive that lets me discover bitrot in some reasonable way. xfs? zfs? brtfs? clients use linux and it will be encrypted (extra points if the fs does that natively in an easy way, dm_crypt of the whole device otherwise)
17:24:35<@JAA>FAT32 with a text file containing the CRC32 of each sector.
17:24:39<spirit>looks like zfs is pretty great
17:24:53<@JAA>Yeah, ZFS is a decent option I think.
17:25:04<spirit>JAA: that would also need a text file referencing the split files and their original filenames i guess ;P
17:26:18<@JAA>Unless you dislike having to load a module instead of having it in the mainline kernel because licences suck.
