01:49:50<@JAA>spirit: Query strings usually aren't a thing in static file hosting, so that's something to consider since the intent is probably to keep URLs working as they do now. You might want to dump files like 'viewtopic.php?t=4998' and configure the web server to include the query string in the file lookup. But there are also other URL patterns that make this pretty awkward, e.g.
01:49:56<@JAA>https://forums.insideqc.com/viewtopic.php?p=59913 (one file per post).
01:50:56<@JAA>You could perhaps in theory host the WARC with OpenWayback or pywb, but I'm not sure how much fun that'd be...
01:51:29<@JAA>(And it'd still need a special configuration, of course.)

02:24:20<pokechu22>I believe httrack tries to mangle query strings into different distinct URLs; I've seen that with mediawiki. It's kinda messy but it does do something that should be purely static
02:25:11<@JAA>Yes, and wget does a similar thing.
02:25:20<@JAA>It produces a static dump that has internally functional links.
02:25:51<@JAA>But someone's bookmarks etc. will still be broken.
02:28:53<@JAA>Not sure if you can somehow dump out the translation table and then use that in the web server, but it certainly wouldn't be pretty.
