(though they're styled differently from the ones I've seen). I've currently got the latter running recursively in archivebot without any Discuz!-related ignores since there's talk of DJI being banned from the US but was wondering if you had any advice

22:27:31<pokechu22>More specifically I think it's a ban on new sales and not on the site itself... at least to my understanding
22:27:38<pokechu22>but that seems like a good reason to save the site

22:38:50<@arkiver> - priimage_
22:39:04<@arkiver> - Archive Team プリ画像:

22:54:23<eggdrop>[karma] 'dicpig' now has 1 karma!
22:54:42<thuban>prican -> pricant is another obvious option
22:55:35<thuban>(apparently "プリ" is a borrowing of english 'free', but i don't have any riffs on that)
22:55:56<fireonlive>freeuse? 😏

23:01:25<thuban>my bad! i speak no japanese, i just copied it into wiktionary and got redirected
23:02:49<thuban>does "プリ" mean/suggest anything in particular, then?
23:06:09useretail joins
23:09:46<pokechu22>I couldn't see anything for it, but 画像 means image so translating プリ画像 to priimage is reasonable. (Japanese kana is only a consonant followed by a vowel (except for n, which *can* stand on its own), so when borrowing words you often will end up with "u" where no sound exists in the original word
23:10:06<pokechu22>It might mean "pre" (e.g. "preimage") but I'm not sure if that really makes sense here
23:10:56<pokechu22>and you can have very weird changes in meaning e.g. "driveway" became https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E3%83%89%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%96%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A7%E3%82%A4 which actually means scenic highway in some cases
