01:27:22<haha-whered-it-go|m>I was part of a huge Warner Media animation (Hanna-Barbera, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and other associated IPs) archival&curation project that had both public and private sources, and original data derived from those sources. Dumb drama happened, people got banned and reported from services, the lead sank the project chat, someone reported the storage drive and from what I've gathered it's now in a situation where a google drive
01:27:22<haha-whered-it-go|m>host has about 200TB of data (20 derived, 180+ source/working, I don't know how much of that is rare enough to prioritize, since probably most are publicly available DVD ISOs) hosted privately between them and the leader. The leader pays for it yearly, and the host is allegedly apathetic towards most of the content and will probably nuke it if the money stops.

I suspect the leader is still creating and curating new data, so my priority is to backup the rarest source data and most valuable original data, rather than attempt any distribution and risk drama with the leader.
01:27:22<haha-whered-it-go|m>I am not involved much in archivism or data hoarding, I currently have trivial storage (I can probably buy my way up to 20TB at short notice) and I don't think I'm ready to host any proper NAS (financially or technically), so I guess general advice on what I should do in this situation would be great.
