00:04:55<Ruk8>Hi everyone, I have a tiny list of adobe's urls that needs to be archived (installers of old versions of framemaker), the only problem is that they require certain cookies (any login cookies, even from brand new accounts) to gain access. I also saw that the archiveteam has archived some old adobe cs installer that, I guess, like these links requires cookies to be downloaded (almost all pages on the wayback machine prompt an access denied error). So...
00:04:56<Ruk8>there is any way that these installers could be archived in the internet archive?
00:06:40<Jake>I don't believe ArchiveBot itself exactly supports custom cookies, but if you gave us a list and the cookie, someone might be able to manually do it?
00:09:56<Ruk8>The cookies obv contains account access and info. The best thing to do probably is to create a brand new account to delete after that use.
00:10:17<Ruk8>If that's okay I'll proceed.
00:11:29<Jake>Ah... it's not like a generic cookie?
00:11:52<Ruk8>Idk how that works honestly
00:12:28<Ruk8>I just saw that giving to wget the whole cookies.txt file of the adobe domain works
00:15:26<systwi_>Ruk8: Works with `curl', too. If you're logged in through Firefox, you can pull up the Network tab in the developer tools and, on one of the pages, right click its entry and copy the curl request. The -H 'Cookie: ...' header, as well as the download link, can be sent with `curl' to download the file.
00:16:19<systwi_>Do you know, does the login-restricted download URL redirect to another URL where the file is _really_ retrieved?
00:16:43<Ruk8>No
00:22:25<Ruk8>Also, all login-restricted pages are downloadable files, so I cannot (I think) open the developer tools.
00:22:33<systwi_>Assuming your browser is Firefox, if you download an installer, click the downloads button, right click the download entry and copy the download URL, is that the same one, or similar to, the auth-required pages in WBM?
00:23:05<Ruk8>I'll try to see the headers through wireshark btw, all links are http
00:23:16yawkat quits [Ping timeout: 240 seconds]
00:23:20<@OrIdow6>Have these always been behind a login wall, or are they each public for the duration that they're the newest version?
00:24:13<Ruk8>systwi_: systwi_: Yes, is the same url
00:24:13<systwi_>The dev tools can be opened on any Adobe page that shows you're logged in. That should be sufficient enough to extract the necessary cookies AFAIK.
00:24:27<systwi_>Hmm, darn.
00:29:37<systwi_>Ruk8: If worse comes to worst, downloading the installers and directly uploading them to IA as items might be the next best alternative.

00:32:49<Ruk8>No way
00:33:29<Ruk8>The cookies literaly is: "MM_TRIALS" with the value "1234"
00:33:30<systwi>I saw it in the topic of another IRC channel, which said it would be used in a contest ending Sep. 9.
00:34:15<systwi_>MM_TRIALS? I'm not following...
00:35:41<Ruk8>I mean, the only cookies that block/allow the downloading of these file is that
00:38:53<systwi_>Oh, that's it? o_O
00:39:49<Ruk8>Yeah
00:40:03<@JAA>If you send me a list and it's not too huge, I'll grab it and get it into the WBM.
00:47:59<Ruk8>Sure, there are only 6 url. Here's an archive with a script, the cookie file and the list of urls obv: https://transfer.archivete.am/2NPRc/archiveteam.tar.gz
01:03:48<@JAA>I wonder whether there are any other interesting files on those domains that are 'protected' in the same way.
01:10:10<Ruk8>I guess almost all other files where archived by the archiveteam by the time these were public. These mirrors used tk hosts the adobe creative suite (cs 1 - 6, no more available without login AND license key bonded to the account) and the enterprise products, which are mainly framemaker (already archived) and robohelp, partially archived due to the fact that the original pages that hosted the links to download the old installers were removed without any
