22:34:23<guest1234>and/or is there a project that is indexing the contents and location of websites in the wayback machine and making that a searchable database
22:43:19<@JAA>guest1234: archive.today/is/whatever is an entirely separate thing. It has nothing to do with the WBM. And no, I'm not aware of any full-text search for the WBM. Only IA could do that, anyway, since quite a lot of the underlying data isn't publicly accessible (all of IA's own crawls, Save Page Now, etc.). It'd also be very expensive to index all that data. The whole collection is approaching 70 PB
22:43:25<@JAA>(with compression!)...
22:45:38<@JAA>Er wait, that's all of IA, the web data is 'only' 40-ish PB if I'm reading the numbers correctly.

23:24:36<guest1234>JAA: I know it's separate, it's just annoying there's a lack of search function of just the text that ends up with the saved image with these archivers. I wonder how much just text would be of those saves and would exclude javascript, pictures, css, icons, etc... I mean one would need a way to distinguish between the two when selecting all text on the page with headless browser isn't enough.
