04:43:51<Cherri-ArcticCircleSystem>C: the thing I'm worried about with 6100m's script is that it's supposed to grab any repos listed on the front pages of each of the RC24 repos just in case, using recursion

12:51:58<archiveFan>It's quite a few sites, but these are rare prototype dumps and the like that, as far as I am aware, do not exist elsewhere.
12:52:58<archiveFan>I've checked for archive.org and the coverage of materials is spotty. Pages about Ocarina of Time prototypes and the like is backed up, but... Stuff that's more obscure isn't.

19:07:21<nirv>Well, I made it to 99.6% for this Geocities archive now. If it actually finishes, maybe I'll have to upload this version to archive.org.
19:09:05<nirv>JAA, I don't mean to bug you, but is it possible to upload to archive.org more reliably? I'm thinking of putting this 641GB patched on archive.org, but I often have network errors through the browser interface. I don't suppose there's a more reliable method?

19:31:02<nirv>JAA, it's there but it's the 2011 original version which doesn't seem to have the "patched" files. which I haven't figured out what are yet entirely. all the pages about the "patch" are deleted/hard to find. so a fresh upload might be better
19:32:30<nirv>but this patched torrent seed is just no good. there are no permanent seeders here

19:40:06<@JAA>My understanding is that the patch was just a torrent thing. But all of this was long before I even heard about AT, so I have no idea what I'm talking about. :-)
19:41:45<@JAA>There's also this, which might be the patch: https://archive.org/details/geocitiestorrent1
19:42:11<@JAA>At least it seems similar enough to the patch directory that was available at some point on archiveteam.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20110807165926/http://www.archiveteam.org/archives/geocitiespatch/
19:44:14<@JAA>Hmm, not quite, actually.
19:45:22<@JAA>Well, I don't know, but yeah, the `ia` CLI is the more reasonable and stable way to upload to IA.
19:47:56<nirv>JAA, yeah I checked up and down and it's missing a lot of files such as "geocities-k-a.7z.025"
19:49:37<nirv>I was using archive.org to fill a bunch of incomplete files that were stalled on the torrent, and I found some, but many were missing. That's why I think it needs a reupload. The torrent is nice but again, no seeders and therefore unreliable. It's SO close to being done for me. 99.6% currently. I will check out the CLI later and try to upload it cleanly. thanks dude
19:50:47<@JAA>geocities-k-a.7z.025 is in https://archive.org/download/2009-archiveteam-geocities-part3 it seems.
19:53:50<@JAA>I just compared one random smallish file, geocities-K-4.7z.001, and it's identical in the WBM's geocitiespatch snapshot, geocitiestorrent1, and https://archive.org/download/2009-archiveteam-geocities-part6
19:56:06<nirv>I must have missed that BUT there are some weird things like 2 of the same file of different sizes in the same folder. like this https://i.imgur.com/BcLpaZS.png
