01:24:02<@JAA>Yay, JS hell @ Bethesda
01:24:08<jodizzle>yep
01:24:20<@JAA>And the announcement results in a redirect loop with cookies and JS disabled.
01:24:37<jodizzle>yeah, I hit the same problem :(
01:25:21<jodizzle>According to Deathwatch, looks like there was another set of forums before this that shut down?
01:27:58<@JAA>'mod comments are powered by the forums, and will also be shut down.'
01:28:45<@JAA>'On July 6, we will start archiving smaller, less populated Categories. At this time, you will no longer be able to access these Categories.'
01:28:50<jodizzle>I'm confused by the shutdown timeline.
01:29:07<@JAA>ArChIviNg
01:31:03<jodizzle>So it looks like on May 24th it goes read-only, and July 6th they start "archiving"
01:31:24<jodizzle>But also: 'You will have 30 days to save any post contents you wish to keep once the forums are closed.'
01:31:45<jodizzle>Which I think is in relation to the July 6th date?
01:31:52balrog quits [Ping timeout: 250 seconds]
01:31:53<jodizzle>Er, the May 24th date I mean
01:32:00<@JAA>Well, it's Bethesda. Broken maths are pare for the course.
01:32:01<jodizzle>I guess I don't know when the forums actually close
01:32:04<@JAA>par*
01:34:20<@JAA>Looks like the backend API accepts requests without the thread slug and contains everything of relevance. So that'd be a first target.
01:34:25<@JAA>Won't work in the WBM obviously.
01:35:04<@JAA>There's also some Socket.IO business in the background.

02:18:51<@JAA>I wrote a little qwarc thing to fetch all the topic data. That's absolutely not sufficient if we want WBM playback, but at least it's the most important data.
02:21:10<@JAA>Should take just a couple hours even at a low concurrency and produce a tiny 4 GB WARC.
02:21:47<jodizzle>What is 'topic' in this case? Does it include user posts?
02:22:26<@JAA>Just the JSON behind https://bethesda.net/community/topic/455531/bethesda-net-forums-to-be-sunset?language%5B%5D=en etc. (with pagination)
02:23:09<@JAA>'user posts'?
02:23:40<jodizzle>Got it
02:24:33<jodizzle>Oh, I see, I was being ambiguous. But yes, I meant stuff like what you linked
02:25:00<@JAA>Ah, thought you meant there were also messages on user profiles or something like that.
02:25:12<@JAA>I'm not sure about those mod comments though.
02:25:53<jodizzle>Is the mods site https://cdn.bethesda.net/en/mods?
02:26:04<jodizzle>I wasn't sure
02:29:16<@JAA>Looks like it yeah.
02:29:28<@JAA>Or rather https://bethesda.net/en/mods because otherwise CORS prevents comment loading it seems.
02:30:15<@JAA>Yeah, those aren't topics.
02:30:25<@JAA>https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/911793 has a decent number of comments.

03:40:43<@JAA>Implemented something for the mod comments as well. But again, only the raw JSON API data because that's the critical information. No attempt at making this even remotely accessible.

19:42:37<driib>Hi, I tried to switch from the project of choice to Tinkercad in my docker-based warrior but there seem to be no tasks. I know that this can happen from time to time but the leaderboard seems to be quite ghosttown-y as well. Is there any reason the project shows up in the list but tasks are not allocated? Thanks!
19:43:09<@HCross>There’s still a few development issues to iron out
19:44:04<driib>Thank you! Will keep an eye on it then.
