15:54:58<@jrwr>@jtagcat the hardest part is. no one really /owns/ the archive team, or runs it, we have a crew but it comes and goes
15:55:14<@jrwr>Donate to the Internet Archive, they need it
15:57:01rsn joins
16:07:10<jtagcat>jrwr: that's what I meant; it's just the sponsor button is quite attractive :)
16:07:44<jtagcat>fwd all to internet archive could be possibility
16:07:54<jtagcat>just an idea, nvm if it's bad :)

17:37:29<@EggplantN>The only donations we need are workers/targets or people’s time to develop the code jtagcat, a handful of us manage the target stuff and everyone’s warriors and workers help us keep on top of the workload. But absolutely do donate to the Internet Archive!

18:44:46<jtagcat>Since AT is seperate from IA, I think it's probably not a good idea.. but gh lets you add external links to the sponsor button as well

22:04:31<kpcyrd>EggplantN: I know, that's why I'm asking, assuming I had an rsync server with a few tb storage for example
22:18:20<@EggplantN>kpcyrd its less so storage these days, we have found the "nice" combo for a box to take Gbit in and output Gbit to the Internet Archive and its around a i7 6700k (or later), 64GB RAM, 3x512GB NVMe (we suspect 256GB also works) in ZFS z1
22:19:37<@EggplantN>As for storage we have our new flagship target atr3 from phirephly which is 2xZFS z2s of 12x4TB HDDs with a 32GB cache SSD
22:22:40<kpcyrd>oh well, I don't have that :D
22:23:17<@EggplantN>haha dont worry with the newer projects like urls, reddit, periscope, mediafire, webs the demand on targets is much worse than before
