03:49:13<@JAA>A couple days ago, the University of North Texas's Center for Human Identification announced that they will no longer support NamUs, the National Missing and Unidentified Person System (US DoJ), from January. The announcement has been removed from the UNTCHI website since as it triggered a sizeable response, but the future is clear as mud at the moment.

20:00:07<jodizzle>bithippo: As far as retrieving URLs of posts from a facebook group, https://github.com/JustAnotherArchivist/snscrape is probably a good option.
20:02:18<jodizzle>As far as archiving those URLs, that's trickier. Rate limits and javascript can make archiving the pages hard.
20:08:47<@JAA>snscrape can also extract some post data, but it's not very detailed (compared to e.g. the Twitter scrapers). I don't want to invest time in that currently since the old design will eventually disappear and the new design still isn't consistently deployed. So all Facebook scrapers are kind of stalled currently.
