09:32:41<HP_Archivist>Question - is the torrent option for most items pointless to try? I constantly hear people telling me that torrents fail or corrupt files when trying to download from an item
09:38:22<atphoenix>it might be people think the torrent is supposed to be the content itself...and not understanding that a torrent is really metadata to find the content.
09:40:14<atphoenix>might also be people with flaky systems that corrupt data in memory or during IO. That probably can lead to weird behavior in memory and IO intensive software, like torrenting.
09:40:41<atphoenix>my comments are about torrents in general. Not specific to IA hosted torrents for IA content.
