06:08:10<mgrandi>Probably won't be deleted immediately but If you have a list of channels I could just for loop YouTube-dl
06:17:28<ivan>download the CSV at the bottom of https://transparencyreport.google.com/political-ads/region/US and grep for ,Video,
06:17:39<ivan>then scrape a zillion pages and get youtube links
07:15:00<bhurnie>Hi, is this a good place to suggest a website to archive?
07:17:12<jodizzle>bhurnie: Sure, though we're somewhat occupied with election stuff at the moment
07:17:18<jodizzle>But please list your suggestion

07:17:55<bhurnie>Right I guess you would be. But thanks. I pre-typed some stuff, apologies for the block of text
07:18:04<bhurnie>Science ASSIST - https://assist.asta.edu.au/
07:18:12<bhurnie>They mention the risk here - https://assist.asta.edu.au/question/4601/subscriptions-science-assist-update - right now there is a cut-off date of December 11 that could be anything from 'end of updates' to 'website disappears', and funding progress in their last newsletter update wasn't good.
07:18:22<bhurnie>The website consists of a very useful Expert Q&A section and a collection of other resources, like links to external websites or locally-hosted PDF/Word/HTML documents. I doubt there are any huge files or particularly complex pages.
07:18:28<bhurnie>Almost everything is accessible without any kind of user account - the most recent resources need a "subscriber" account which they make manually, but that doesn't exclude much. (For instance this page https://assist.asta.edu.au/question/4619/chemical-storage-barium-nitrate)
07:18:56<bhurnie>That's about it I guess. Handy resource, likely to disappear, doesn't look too difficult (but beyond me)

07:23:10<jodizzle>Hm okay. We'd probably just get the whole site.
07:23:57<jodizzle>The immediate problem I'm seeing is that it uses the Cloudflare DDOS protection, which requires JS in order to set a cookie.
07:24:42<jodizzle>So would have to be done outside of ArchiveBot, unless someone know a non-JS way to set that cookie.
07:26:35<jodizzle>I guess I could just grab-site it?
07:27:16<bhurnie>Well this is kind of embarrassing but I have just realised, it looks like the Australian internet archive project might have a decent copy of it
07:27:24<bhurnie>I don't know how complete though.
07:28:17<bhurnie>You've lost me on the other stuff I'm afraid. I appreciate it if it's possible but it perhaps isn't as lost as I first thought
07:29:12<jodizzle>That's fine, I'm just airing the question to anyone else who might be in this channel.
07:30:09<jodizzle>I'll do the social media right now, anyway
07:30:29<bhurnie>Right. Anyway. Thanks, good luck keeping on top of all the election content and all your million other projects.
07:30:49<jodizzle>Thanks!
